Saw one wee basket type container, terracotta but no frost proof warning on the label....
or a couple would have been snaffled...
Think we've been to most in a 20 mile radius..
just a walk round lets you know if worth another visit....
Low level cloud scudding over
Not a dry day, 0.5mm on the dial.
Not had a terracotta pot crack due to cold weather, unless they were light/thin.
One or two smashed when people "haven't seen them" and walked into them.
Most, how many are there!
Same with most places these days. If they can't be bothered with the displays, what else can't the be bothered with.
High cloud, thinning and clearing.
Dry and it's looking like it'll stay that way today. Forecast was for fog in the morning, there were non.

I was out...
Got some vikky plums from a local fruiterer..
these are so delicious....and ready to eat.

These terracota (style?) 'baskets' were quite thin'ish', might have a prowl and see if any thicker ones about...
Rain up to 2.3 mm..
Had hoped to give the grass a cut, looking pretty hairy as not cut in weeks.....
Off to enjoy La Vuelta....

Anywhere where nothing but time were spent?
Resist their allure as best you're able...

Newer stuff then. You find them they'll cost an arm and a leg. And carrying them with only one arm and one leg could be difficult.
Odd, localised rainfall here earlier. Dry on one side o'road, raining on the other.
That's where a robotic mower could come in handy. Sit there supervising it whilst watching the telly.
Enjoy

The usual, more time waiting than being dealt with but no complaints....

New WX record for the year today...
14 days being wet....

Might get grass cut tomorrow if not day 15
Spent this months allowance....

My window looks out on to the road, grass is opposite side...
I'll think about it tomorra....

Put a price on yer standing around, must be worth one wine gum for every 10 minutes.

Only 14. I thought it were permanently wet up there.
Won't be tomorrow, if the forecasts are correct.
Already!

You cut the grass verge, bill the council. I would.
Tomorra, when it gets here

Wine gums...
mint imperials (the big granny sookers)
midget gems
kola cubes
sherbet dabs
I could go on and on.....
Jazzies, eh..
Mrs M got a packet of Jazzies gifted to her and scoffed them with no word to Bob...
Wednesday evening was very frosty after I found out...
I understand her my Maltesers only policy...
but Jazzies have to be shared..
I don't think I'll get over it....

Verge?
The council have just taken over the roads in the estate, and boy, they were picky..
I had a chat with the council bloke and he tried to bluff me with this standard and that.
I said I'll hold you to this conversation a few years down the line,
looked miffed when I said I've seen some of your councils work...
I did explain I did a spell on Roads many moons ago...

Owdo
Timed to the minute!
You want to be like the ones doing the grass verges here. Any time from half seven onwards, rain, hail or snow.
Noisy mower?
They want waking, bodiy as well as heads.
Not whilst there's grass cutting going on.

Did you get any of those you listed?
Jazzies?
If you were to get some, would you be expected to share. You're not keen on maltesers I take it.

They'll have adopted the roads so they can issue parking permits, which seem to be the latest way for them to make money.
Miffed or not I'd hold him to it. To often they think joe public are ignorant on such things.
Did he believe yer explanation though.

Two buckets of cuttings as well, took me 59 mins from shed door opening to being closed.....

I got a packet brought in by middle child who started the family rammy...

harmony (not the hairspray) returns to the Towers
Conciliatory gift of peppermint creams...
There's not enough spare parking bays as there is....

All over the telly is some wee annoying twat in a red suit and van....
why do they keep plaguing us with these folk, take yon so called Einstein advert..
as for yon cinched it junk.....
Watching Yorkshire's finest car program..
'hope it goes to someone appreciates it' , Bullpoop, more like sell it for as much money as you can get, mate..

Two full buckets!
You'd a fair bit to cut then...

Have they been rewritten into yer will as well?
You don't need them, it can be a DIY job these days.
Kissed and made up, no bad feelings...
That'll be why the permits are required.
Red suit and a van, Santa dumped Rudolph up you way.
The meter man. Makes you wonder how much they paid to use his image. Copyright is owned by a museum.
What else would you sell summat for?
Crabbit Friday. You lay down offerings and are allowed to eat yer favourite sweets?

It hadn't been cut for four weeks?
I remember winter December nights being sat on a tractor trailer dress as the jolly fellow on my way to a function or ?,
man, cars passing tooted and flashed lights..
Great fun for everybody...
then Scrooge and the gang decreed it was a cutback....
Man, the fun the mobile Santa and grotto gave ..
and the loads of OT:laugh:

Funnily, in the US, they decreed, something shifty going on and nobody pays for image rights, interesting story behind it all..
somebody trying it on methinks.
Once yer dead, yer dead, copyright, image rights?...ongoing scam see Holmes, S legacy palaver ...
I might even make it crabbit Saturday too:laugh:

Knee high then.
Nowadays they'd be on the horn to try and move you off the road.
More money for the office party whilst saying/showing they're "saving" money.
It's often the simple things that brought the most fun. Even on time and half....

America probably didn't feel they should have to do what everyone had to. The copyright is set to expire next year so expect to see his face all over the place. Possibly even more meter adverts!
You're feeling that way out, do it.
