Well, it's more that I am resisting their growth. I should have said outbuildings rather than sheds, but here is the list:
Garage, bin store, firewood store, bike shed, chicken-food shed, mower shed, greenhouse, potting shed, workshop, timber store, building materials shed. I need a kindling store, but after that I think I can resist the need for any more.

Although I'd like a separate metal-working workshop.

Shame in some ways, I was going to enquire as to what your yield rate was.
Could you not put your kindling in the wood store, save on space and confusion.
Bike shed third on your list!

And you'd like it with electric as well I bet.

Yes, it's a small Stihl. I'm surrounded by woods and overgrown hedges so there are always trees down around here, which is why I have 4 years worth of firewood put away at the moment.

Some friends rode by a year or two back and found me sitting on the front path with my boot and sock off, chainsaw and helmet on the ground, and a pool of blood all around. They leapt to conclusions. What had actually happened was I was cutting blackthorn, and a piece had rolled near my foot. I kicked it out of the way, and a thorn went through my boot, just missing the toe-cap, and managed to stab a big blood vessel which just spurted dramatically. I HATE blackthorn.

Stihl seems more popular than Husqvarna down south. Don't know why.
Four years worth, that's a fair pile of timber.

I was told, when nowt but a lad, that blackthorn was home to fairies, and that you shouldn't go upsetting them.

Great idea, fill it with cakes of all shapes and sizes...
do two things at once..
Toodles just takes off and is surprisingly rapid for a one year old, her poor auntie had to head home to recover...
I only eat cake that is tasty...
think I'd be getting a lecture if someone found out..

You could dive in to rescue Toodles or the Young Un.
Multi tasking might divert your attention.
The younger, than yourself, aunt got tired out trying to keep up with Toodles?
Well, that's a given. Who'd eat cake that weren't tasty?

No, the woodstore is always full, and I need somewhere to store my kindling other than in my workshop, where it's generated.

Yeah, my foot is fine thanks. Blackthorn wounds always seem to get infected, and I might have hobbled a bit for a few days.........but all's well now.

And no, we have such a warm house and efficient wood-burner that well under a cubic metre does for a year.

I lived my entire life in fear of upsetting fairies*, and seem to have succeeded so far.

Blackthorns can cause an infection. Good to hear that all is now well. And that the fairies didn't have too much fun at your expense.

Quiet day?

It was until I got the bike out..
I wasn't doing a mega cycle but got some very local miles in.
Stopped at fishing loch and asked about membership..
Got forms etc to look at and decide.
I have my membership of SFCA (annual canal fee) to pay (pensioner price),
I still haven't fished the canal yet, hopefully soon.....
for my trip out I got cake.......

How much will it cost you to start training yer maggot in open water.
Can you throw some small pieces of meat with ballbearings inside them, then go magnet fishing.

I have to go through the paperwork I got yesterday for the loch(small reservoir, actually) fishing..
The Kelpies? are just down the road so I ain't getting in to any water...
maggots are tricky little creature, any moisture and they are off....
