Firstly..
you need this back
View attachment 723470
plus the best,
it's spring..
getting warmer etc etc.
Plan some new routes.....
Take your time and take it all in..
I found having side projects going whilst out helped..
and trust me I have done and looked for some obscure stuff whilst out..
geocaching for one.
I haven't been doing this but I got my local ones and they are slow to place out new ones.
I should get back and place out some.
That is just one idea...
I've hunted postboxes, pylons, Ordnance Survey benchmarks (like those wee arrow chiselled in to buildings etc)
Hunted out (now) local historic places..
the advantage of moving area I guess.
World is our oyster.
which reminds me I need a skip load of Mojos..

Thanks for the mojos. I'm not sure how many were mine, but I need one back.

There's a benchmark near hear which is in the middle of a pancake-flat field. It might just be Britain's most obtuse summit.

Finished?

Sorry, I don't understand. That word doesn't appear to be in my vocabulary.
Those bushes still your only blindspot?

I've just had a look at local geocache page, a couple have appeared so might nip out soon and bag them..
Problem is I've ruined a couple pair of cycling tights rummaging in some strange places, mind you in 10 years that ain't bad..
that's why I buy at Decathlon.

I must get back too..
one short ride this year..
I keep hoping all this cycling I watch will inspire me..

Soft play! What happened to the rough n'tumble of years gone by?

Anything that grows lies in the hands of others. My job is the man-made stuff: paths, retaining walls, drainage, pergolas, cold frames, the sheds (11 now) ......plus anything that needs a chainsaw.
I thought you were going to clear that blind spot. If anything that grows is on the hands of others, why the chainsaw?
Is it at least a petrol powered one?
You're growing shed's!
Is there a market for homegrown sheds?

Cake was the last thing on their minds after that..
Dunno, I wouldn't have minded what they have nowadays,
just the public baths without water....filled with soft stuff.

anyway..
I'm off

They wanted to rest!
They're picking up bad habits from you.
And it left more cake for yourself.
What sort of "soft stuff" and would it require eating yer way out, once in.

Well, it's more that I am resisting their growth. I should have said outbuildings rather than sheds, but here is the list:
Garage, bin store, firewood store, bike shed, chicken-food shed, mower shed, greenhouse, potting shed, workshop, timber store, building materials shed. I need a kindling store, but after that I think I can resist the need for any more.

Although I'd like a separate metal-working workshop.

Yes, it's a small Stihl. I'm surrounded by woods and overgrown hedges so there are always trees down around here, which is why I have 4 years worth of firewood put away at the moment.

Some friends rode by a year or two back and found me sitting on the front path with my boot and sock off, chainsaw and helmet on the ground, and a pool of blood all around. They leapt to conclusions. What had actually happened was I was cutting blackthorn, and a piece had rolled near my foot. I kicked it out of the way, and a thorn went through my boot, just missing the toe-cap, and managed to stab a big blood vessel which just spurted dramatically. I HATE blackthorn.

Great idea, fill it with cakes of all shapes and sizes...
do two things at once..
Toodles just takes off and is surprisingly rapid for a one year old, her poor auntie had to head home to recover...
I only eat cake that is tasty...
think I'd be getting a lecture if someone found out..
