Plenty Xmas fare in storage..
should last a few days..
Refreshments are enough backup....
Feels a bit fresher this morning..

Light shower only here overnight
How long can you keep eating Christmas Fare for, after Christmas.
Manual coffee grinder(hammer) to hand. In case of power failure or if you get bored?
Wind never abated much during the first third of today. The light rain did stop though.

You've everything essential, snow shovel, warm clothing/blankets and something warm to drink, in a flask in case you get stuck in snow?
Gold credit cards, someone else's, for the shopping trip.
Enjoy yer jaunt.
More like Platinum TBH..
Was heading towards Perth and road sign says Tourist Route to Pitlochry..
off we headed not knowing it would lead us to

Typical it was raining..
and even more coincidental, Toodles was at the Hydro seeing Santa Claus there this morning..
Nice scenic drive but did the 'fast' roads' back and a Maccy's enroute...
Had a quick detour to Dunkeld where I'd worked briefly in 70 and 71, not much change in all that time...
Breezy on open parts of road home but still quiet yet here at the Towers

That much!
Did you get everything YOU wanted?
And you escaped unhurt, unseen...

Rain for the rest of the year now.
Were you up to yer old tricks?
Scenic drive on fast roads. How is that possible.
That Tom Jones feeling.
If you weren't there, how'd you know it were quiet. One of yer projects on the go.

Who do you blame if it isn't within date.

One of these random 'let's go this way',
I shudder to to think how often we have been on the Stirling Perth road over the last 47 years..
a wee detour was in order and we'll certainly head back that way again,
one or two parts were 'new' roads to us..
Good to have a wee change...
It was up for a Xmas pressie..
I wanted a flat cap but none were to my liking, maybe next visit..
almost bought a print of the Buachaile Etive Mor...
still cannot make my mind up......
aaaaaaaaagh.
The faster moving bit was on motorway style roads...

And see where we end up roads. Done a few of them missen.
Not to yer liking I presume, or is it just the number you don't like.
How long were detour, can you remember which way you went, or will it be another case of let's see where this takes us. You'll go wrong once, end up totally lost with only one large old house at the end...
All that way and no pressie!
Flat cap as worn by "Foggy" Dewhirst of these parts?
How much for the print, "How much!", "a strong sucking of air whilst the hand reached for the cash" or a drink to revive you price.
Don't believe you have motorways up there.

I knew where the road headed (sign said so)
but not the route..
Enjoyed and would follow again.
Missed our 4th anniversary of moving in here at the new Towers..
doesn't seem that long as it has bloody flown in.....

Yes, a Foggy special..
problem is I have a big head (literally)
Print? I'll mull over it and decide...
One of these hums and haws thing.

I wasn't sleeping well so listened to it most of the night. No morning wander today. Just jumped on the Wattbike for a few miles instead. I think it's maybe calming down slightly now.

:hello:
Be breezy up your way...
all seems well here (not really looked tbh)
garden furniture all still in place..
potted bamboos all down but they can blow down at any breeze (somebody liked silly tubs to put them in, Wide at top and narrow at bottom)

Think I may stay in today..
(What's new?, Ed.)

Tell me about it. It's flying past far too quickly now! 12 years since I packed in work, and 5 years on the 28th since Dad died.

You are still a youngster..
think of us old ones:laugh:

I was explaining a route I once did from Invergowrie via Fife to Dunblane to Mrs M yesterday as we passed Bridge of Earn (we never seem to take the more direct sensible route) and could I remember Dunning's name:laugh:
that wasn't many years ago..6 ?
now I can hardly be bothered to cycle out the scheme.
Disgraceful year cycling wise, British Cycling email for membership in my feed yesterday, I'm being told to keep it going..
as I'll be cycling new year, I'm being bullied into it (not bullied I'm told, I'm being 'encouraged')
All reminding so I declare this porridge time:cuppa:

I'm not much over 500 outdoor miles this year. Pathetic, and I'm really not enjoying it nearly as much as there just seems to be more and more traffic on what used to be reasonably quiet roads, plus the road surfaces are dreadful. If I do start up again, I think it will need to be mega early in the morning to try and get an hour before everyone gets going.

I did get a couple of new trips in and hoped for me..
we are busier as from Jan with grandparent stuff but Mrs M I can organise some one off runs..
It will cost me in garden centre purchases though
I did notice some nasty potholes up your way and out over the Sma Glen, mostly small but deep ones...
