Weren't that bad here, and most of it spent inside, or stuck on trains.
Could have been the wettest day!
And there's time yet, another two hours to go.
What's so special about 43 inner tubes?
Is 43 the size or the quantity.

43 is the size....
wettest day of the year (and in the last three (approx)
Mrs M wants me to head out today..
eh, doubt I'm moving tbf

Bit of an odd size. At least its not quantity.
They say it'll only get worse as time marches on.
You said "no" and survived?
Sure t'is only a drop of rain, it canna hurt you.

Did it make it to the wettest day of the year so far then?
We'd a fog earlier, now clearing with what appears to be sunshine behind.

Nah, 2mm short...
16.5mm so far today...
did manage a wee tour of shops looking for something but no Z

Think they are 35 to 43 inners....
It was more for fresh air although I'm a believer in throwing open yer windows first thing in the morning.
We had a boiler getting fitted many moons ago and the fitter lived all his life in the middle of London, he'd moved up to nearby us for a change of scenery after 40 odd years, said he threw the windows open every morning to breathe in the fresh air.....

You'd think it'd have made it to top spot, given it'd been all day long.
Not a drop here today.
Buy anything good for yourself?
Zulu spear, zebra paint...

That makes a bit more sense.
You'll be used to the air up there now though. Especially near the top of the hill. Do windows still open outwards these days?
Up from down south and he were after the fresh air before everyone else. Hope he left enough for you.

Leaving the Christmas shopping late this year!
Nothing! You were being mean to yourself.
Most seem to open inwards these days, down here at least. Might make cleaning them easier, but not much advantage otherwise.
Is the glass door the last thing before getting outside.
On the 31st december, do you open the door on the opposite side of the house as well?
Let the new year in and blow out the old year.

Did you find anything?
No Dairy Milk, wouldn't that be against the Geneva Convention, as cruel and inhuman treatment?
Window cleaners round here only come round when they need the money. So second half of this month, and the start of the following two months, they'll be round.
It's the reason for opening a door on the opposite side of the house.
Okay what's the Black Bun for?

Aye, a bit of cruelty, no chocolate.

So you'll always have food in the house for the coming year?
Akin to the lump of coal round these parts, a warm house and the means to cook your food for the year to come.
A bit, that'd be an understatement. Suppose it'd be worse if it were bought, then telling you not to touch it.

Leave it behind and head out anyway. This dry spell may not last as long as forecast.

I had a good stroll through very local paths and wood,
just enough to get the legs ticking over...
planted up some pansy seedlings into next stage..
maybe they'll take off this year...

headed out for some batting but very sparse, possibly one bat out, a soprano pipistrelle.
One last trip out planned near the weekend and possibly the last until next spring.
cuppa or cider?
think the cuppa might win

and a bar of darkmilk awaits.....
