Well if you go around shortening the week by two days, they're bound to go quicker.

I am a local, just not in the area you are...
Be a bit harder when they're stood next to a river, or lake. There's only so many similar places.
Secret handshakes as well?

You bought a decent frame I hope.
On those days when you're stuck inside, you can look at it and say "One day..."

I know, it is weird but something I said ages about it, more likely 'Jeez, Thursday again?' and it has just become the first thing said on a Thursday morning.
I won'e be doing any mines although I did scope out one at one point but these were well blocked, plenty of old coal mines in this area..
But scary how there are air shafts just lying wide to the world on open woodland etc.....

Frame? splashed out nine quid odds..

Bit loose with the moolah, me:laugh:

I dunno... Do you?

There's a few mine shafts that are still open round these parts. At least one new build has one at the bottom of the garden.
Air shafts on the hillsides where the mine shaft was dug into the hill.

At least you didn't pinch it off another picture.

Were it your moolah!

My share was 50%, Mrs M paid the rest..
I managed to get it on Household
To think how much I paid to get the three other prints here framed...phew.

You paid half of the nine pounds, or nine pounds were what you paid!
If the second you must really like that picture.
Well you've bought troughs, for use in your garden on household, a picture frame will be nowt.
Enough to bring you out in a cold sweat?

Odd pences! How odd...
You prefer black frames.

You don't find it, will it entail a return visit to get the shot you want?
Not able to adjust the contrast?

Could you not leave it in the carpark while you went up...
Lugging the camera gear up shouldn't be too hard. Leave the radio gear behind, maybe. Lighten yer load.

You'll not get those views from any hotels in the areas.
Easy see why you don't tire of them.

You got another two matching frames to go with the one you bought for the other picture?

Dale Head was to be my '70s' hill and oldest Mhor said he 'd come with me..
I would have to do my radio from it, rucksack isn't that heavy but who knows I might still make it by bandaging the ankle up...
I still have four months plus to get myself ready....
My 60th, I didn't get the Buachaille done until the following June/July due to snow in the Coire..
I did Snowdon just days after my 60th, walking not the train.. (all on the blog)....
Shop had plenty.

Well if you've got someone else going up with you, get them carrying your gear. Especially seeing as he's younger than you. If nowt else, it'll slow him down a bit.
With a decent background to really make the picture stick in your memory.
There's the added no bonus of him being able to take a picture of you on yer radio at the summit.

Not taking owt from you, but Snowdon has become a slow slog up a staircase.
Last time I were there, the shop were shut.

I'm going to have to read that there blog, from start to finish...

Miners track then down to Llanberis walk..
Boy, I hate those 'steps' they put in, do my calves in but I respect the work they do, trying to prevent more erosion in places, at least we don't have many drive on summits although Snowdon has been done more than a few times....
Highlight of that trip?
local(ish) primary school class singing their national anthem...
Low point?
missing the finish of the Tour of Britain stage in Llanberis that afternoon...
Rain had knocked our plans on the head and Snowdon was done on our (planned) spare day...

I bet you still enjoyed the views though.
Those steps ruined what was a decent walk. It's now more like a walk in a shopping centre than a mountain.
Being served by a railway makes driving up easier than most hills. Get the timing wrong and you could be doing a fair bit of reversing.
Just think, two years ago there were a three hour wait on those steps to get to the summit.
Could you understand them, or did you get lost in the tune?
There'll always be another chance to watch a bike race near there.

Spare day!
You visit another country and plan a day where you do nothing.
