You could:-
Paint the house
Finish yer planting regime
Clean yer bike
Go for a walk/bike ride
Or just put yer feet up, having plonked yerself in front of the telly remote in hand.
You'll find summat to do, or someone else might...
Day One of the holidays and apathy set in!

Tent, stove, sleeping bag...
All required if you're spending the night under the stars.
Any look with yer hunting?
Apathy wins all the time now...
I can't decorate to save myself...
got enough planted the noo..
I did and watch the two one day races and might plank me erse for the Tour of Flanders tomorrow as well..

Stove, jet boil it is now....
I like my comfort now, my 'camping' is either Premier Inn or Travelodge
dried food needed though..

Only the one cuppa...

I dunno, you could try and prove beyond doubt. Thereby avoiding the possibility being asked to do any.
Back sore, along with arms and hands?
You reckon you put enough effort into watching that you don't need to take part.
Rain forecast?

Jet Boil, tha's posh...
Gone soft in yer old age. Who'll teach the Young Un about the joys of a nights camping if you can't.

Rich tea biscuits for dunking in yer cuppa...

Has his dad ever been camping, especially in the middle of nowhere, though? This sort of thing is a dying art, with people now "roughing it" in hotels.
He needs to know, for the day the lights go out.
Much the same here. Done very little, possibly less than yorssen even.

Fire up the stove while cycling, you ever spill yer coffee?

Chauffeur driven ride again, get anything worthwhile. Driving Mr Daisy might make a half decent movie, if someone were to do it.
First Sunday in April, be careful...

See, the perfect person to teach the Young Un...
Yer never too old...
It's the needless waste by spilling that was my concern.

Nearly always the best time, you get the chance to put yer feet up as you sup.
Brought to you, or will you have to fetch?

Are you anywhere near the peleton...
We've a week of this colder weather to welcome April in. Then it'll be back to what we had last month.
You get out?

Indeed in many many parts of the world..
I could have flown somewhere overnight.. much easier than getting through Dover
but it isn't Brexit..
does that daftie think we button up the back?

Off to hunt NV....
But not in yours?
Not content with a southern raiding party you're planning on rampaging through France...
Coach travel isn't too bad. You get used to it by travelling by train first. And not treating it the same as travelling by air.

No, you're right again.

Good luck with the hunt...

He learned from Bob the Bushman......
I drink anything where I buy it..
I am guilty of ordering on the app and getting it brought to the table (outside) saves all having to lock the bike etc up...

Don't fancy abroad..
I do wish I'd have seen more of Italy..
they know how to keep the place instead of throwing up concrete monstrosities.
Siena if I could visit anywhere BUT BUT I ain't got a passport
I won't fly either....so...
still 5c here...must going to dip at some point...

Wonder if I get an Easter Egg this weekend?

Not you!
Were you slacking...
You make it sound as though there's places that don't/won't serve you.

You got to Ireland! That's abroad.
If you've no passport, how'd you manage to see Italy.
And now there's a five week strike, you'll have to wait a while if you want one now.
If god had intended us to fly, he'd have given us tickets.
The food abroad is different to here. What's wrong with a fried breakfast?

It'll dip, don't worry.

Quite possibly, why shouldn't you.
