Nothing, I suspect.
Found one a bit closer to home. And the price is right

Nice, clear blue(pantone 300) skies here.

Did thi bugger off 'ome then?
Tha' did, not in the breezy mood I started the day in:laugh:
I'm still at 99% of that:hello:
Was a tad chilly but the sun was out. Roads pretty wet and mucky though. Have you stopped using Strava?
Nope, it keep setting itself to 'private' since the last site update....
I could ctrl+F5 but I'm doing a bit of repetitive work on a project, save me retyping lines..
More a damp chill here than cold, the type that get through you.

You do much cross country cycling there then?

Not back then: I pootled around visiting friends on my bike, an activity considered strange locally even in the 1980's, and also has serious bike envy about a friend's randonneur bike, which is even now influencing the design of the bike I'm building with the Elder Son.

I had a Peugeot Lynx 'mountain' bike with steel wheels, scaffolding for a frame, and for which indexing was a foreign concept. It was some years before I bought a used Apollo and discovered alloy wheels and the novel experience of actually stopping in wet weather. That's how bad the Lynx was: an Apollo was an upgrade.

Then about ten years later I bought a Raleigh M-trax and made a new discovery, namely that a decent bike doesn't need pedalling to go downhill. That was in 1997. The M-trax is a beautiful bike and still going strong as the front part of the Xtracycle: I rode it today with Beautiful Daughter today to go and see some horses.

That reminds me of when the local Kindergarten asks for 'dads' to come and help with maintenance, they list tools to bring, including 'chainsaws'.

The sight of ten middle aged dads wandering down the high street with massive chainsaws will stay with me for a while...

Well Classic wanders about with his weapon on show
