I was just looking at the garmin site and the forerunner series.
A bit like you I have an edge for cycling activities, but if you wore the watch when you went on a ride when you came to upload the days activities will it show some things twice even though on different devices?
Obviously the Forerunner shows things such as your rest patterns, but say you went for a walk to the shops does that show up on the mapping part of the data?
It doesn't show up as a ride unless you actually press to start an activity as a ride, although it does still track my heart rate. I just leave it to track my daily steps rather than recording every walk as an activity. I'm sure folks would get fed up looking at all my walks on Strava. Lol.

If I did set it to record a ride as well as the Edge, they would both show up on Strava. Might do it one day just to see how the likes of elevation compares.

You have just answered something I couldn't get my head round.....Thanks!!
What a numptie!!!
I see that when you upload your stats it will show rest, steps, hr etc but you have to start recording to see where you have been. Just like the edge, its on but you have to press start to record. I am interested in some kind of device similar to what you have got. There are a multitude of such devices on the market out there I can see.

Samsung do a watch now similar to a fitbit i think. It costs half that the garmin costs. Might be worth a look. It might do what you want it to.

Morning :hello: I get to be first today since Choo Choo is still snoring.

Looks a bit damp out. Too dark to make out if it's still drizzling or not. Going a wander after coffee anyway.
Well it is a late Wednesday this week for him. How'd you know he snores?
@Mo1959 to you follow @windywilson on social media?
He's quite accurate with the weather and he's from your neck of the woods.

My watch says 7 hrs 36 mins of sleep of which 83% was peaceful,
of which I got 3 hrs continuous sleep
I apparently fell asleep at 23.44 and woke at 7.20
6 hr 18 min asleep and 1 hr 18 min interruptions,
Feedback was Less sleep than preferred, lots of awake time.

I was sitting here as midnight turned...shrug.

Winter Tip 4
Make sure you are dressed according for the cold Yorkshire roads

Just remember, Blind Jack from Knaresborough(North Yorkshire) did a better job on the roads than most councils are capable of doing today.

Blood test mid afternoon yesterday, results back first thing this morning. Never a good sign this.

Doctors receptionist phoned an hour ago. Doctor wants her to make an urgent appointment to her within the next week. I've got a telephone appointment for next Friday morning!!

Sounds slightly worrying? Hope they are just playing safe and it's nothing too concerning. :hugs:
