@Fubar sympathies. it is not nice when someone you even vaguely has chosen that path. I lost my best friend to suicide, then a lad in the school I worked in and knew, well his death was ruled accidental but how you hang yourself at home and it be an accident... then a girl we met on tour a couple of times and stayed in contact with both her and her husband after our return also took her own life. that last one really knocked us for 6. It is not easy. too many young people go that way without us ever knowing why.

Just really sad, there is shock and disbelief from the cycling community up here as he was a popular lad and promising cyclist. Worrying that kids get to that stage and feel they have no other option.

Evening Teapups.
I am back from work (12.30 - 4.30 including a half an hour guitar lesson). I have had a total disaster with my pancakes that I was going to have for lunch. They were just horrendous so they went in the bin and I went round the corner for a Subway Salad instead. Having now cleaned the oven top - exploded pancake just everywhere (no idea, it just turned into Vesuvius, ok), post tuna salad, I am now feeling a lot more human. I went with the Subway option as I needed food and I needed it NOW or I was going to eat all Hubsters Crisps - he has a bag of about 40 packets on the go. Not sure that eating at 6pm when all I'd had all day was a protein bar and a tin of tuna was such a wise idea. Even the dogs were looking worriedly at the Bonio tin.

I have new slippers so I'm going to put them on. I tried to skip out of work but Boss doesn't think that test driving new slippers is a valid reason for the afternoon off. Pah! what does he know anyway?

After the disappointment of Tesco pulling out of building in my home town, we have today had the good news that Aldi are very keen to come to town. So hope it goes through :hyper:

We have an Aldi 200 yards up the road and they are an excellent supermarket. The staff are friendly and nice. They seem motivated in the customer service way of things. The prices are brilliant and we rarely shop anywhere else. On the downside, they do sell caramel waffle biscuits in packs of 12 and at 120 odd calories per gorgeous biscuit, I rush past with one hand over my right eye so that I cannot see them. They are so tempting
I hope that you get your Aldi

I can't believe you're not embarrassed to admit you live there when you don't even have a Tesco?

We've got one of the biggest Tesco shops in Europe a five minute walk away, it's dead dead exciting.

Our local Aldi is spot on, all the staff are really helpful. It's almost like they've been told that they're going to get a minimum of twenty mystery shoppers through the door every day.
