Morning all. I have a trip to rip-you-off-Stansted today to collect my family, who have gathered from all corners of Europe in Northern Spain, and are now arriving home. We aren't all going to fit in this hovel we've just bought, so someone better come up with a bright idea in the next few hours. Stansted charge you for driving within about 5 miles of the place. It is a loathsome runt of a business.

Sounds very similar to Birmingham, can't even get near the place and get charged to drop or pick someone off. If I can't use the train I will get dropped off at Birmingham International train station and then get the shuttle to the airport. No charges if you drop or pick up outside the station.
I suppose this stems back to the attempt to drive that vehicle into Glasgow airport and blow it up. The airport authorities must have been rubbing their hands with glee at the money making opportunities of that act.

When I had a proper job we had a company trip to Nice... and a Valet parking service at Heathrow..oh, the luxury of that, pull up in reserved area, bloke unloads your case, gives you a ticket and drives off with your car...lovely

EDIT: He did bring it back when you came back a week later as well, even better....

Might have alluded to MrsD not cycling in this morning as a bit of a shame, she was going to prosecute, she had plenty of evidence but I offered a tenner as an out of court settlement, so although guilty as hell I got away with it. My money spoke.

@young Ed's been gone a long time for that 40 mile ride on his status.. 16.02 Sunday he started off. I thought he'd be quicker than that being young and all.
