Sounds marginally warmer and less icy in your part of the world.
Glad it went well. :thumbsup:
How come come you haven't been out for ages? If there is a reason, no need to say, hope you understand what I mean.
I've had quite a few problems with my hip and back because of the accident so haven't been able to pedal without being in a lot of pain, been on the trainer a couple of times in the last week and didn't feel to bad so went for it today. Also the mental thing takes over and the longer your off the more you tend to find an excuse not to go but I think I've cracked it. My back started hurting after about 5 mile but I expected that so hopefully onwards & upwards from here :thumbsup:

Sorry to hear about your problems, was the accident on the bike?
Well done for getting yourself out and cracking that first barrier, I know what you mean, you get into a position where you can be looking for any excuse to not go out. It might look like some rain is on the horizon or you think the lawn needs mowing.
Hopefully things will get better for you and it sounds like you enjoyed yourself even though you suffered a bit. Stick at it and think of your next like milestone, and in your part of the world the weather can sometimes be a tad kinder in terms of temperatures.
Well done again :bravo::thumbsup:

Yeah the accident was on the bike, cruising along minding my own business, heard massive screech of brakes, went to look behind to see what it was? can't remember nothing else. Apparently my mate I was with said the guy came up the inside of me on the grass verge doing between 50-60 mph and smashed into me sent me flying back into the windscreen, flipped me up 15 -20 foot in the air and I landed in the road behind, luckily the car behind managed to swerve round me and If I hadn't had my helmet on I wouldn't be typing this now basically, as it was smashed to bits, lucky boy!!!

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.

Was there any action taken against him or was just a case of yet another cyclist paying the price for minding his own business as you say.
It is really annoying the standard of driving and any of us that ride bikes on the roads have all had similar experiences, but hopefully not as bad as yours. There is such a debate about responsibility and plenty of motorists don't think they are doing anything wrong most the time when they cut you up, they reckon they have priority, they pay their taxes and all that crap.
I wish the law was changed to make them responsible and they would have to prove they were in the right, because presently they just seem to get away with most of it and the cyclist nearly always seems to be at fault.
Sorry to hear about what happened to you, and I hope this is the start of you getting your confidence back and enjoying the pleasures of getting out and riding. :thumbsup:

Its still freezing here and the mist hasn't gone yet. So im making cake for the rugrats who are sure to be here sometime today. At least they won't attack me, they'll go for the cake. I hope.
