Luckily no DDs or SOs going out until the 6th. I am really hacked off though.

Halifax says that the account will carry on as normal, I just don't have a switch card until about Thursday which is not a problem as I can just transfer money from one account to another for the time being, using the card for my 2nd account. It's my 'works' account and cashflow is key. Even £28 suddenly vanishing towards the end of the month I can do without losing to robbing scumbags. I guess that it's just the climate we live in nowadays.
The account is no longer yours. Its now in control of the fraud section of the Halifax. They'll be keeping an eye on it now to watch for any more going. Check your new card when it arrives & it'll show a new account number. Funds matching those in your account will be transferred over/into the new account.

End of month/last Friday of the month, equals payday for many. With you moving, you're lucky there's no payment coming out. It can and does make a bad situation worse.

I had no idea that I'd have a new account number. Will they organise all my DDs as well or will I have to do that myself. I'd better go into branch on Monday.
