Mine will be plodding into town on the hybrid and popping in to the LBS although I know they'll just tell me to drop it in on Monday - at least they'll be expecting it. I don't want it back until those gears are perfect!!
After that, housework I expect.

You have had terrible problems with those gears. I would have made a fuss by now. You are a much nicer person than me.

Home from work and trying to cancel my debit card as someone has nicked 28 quid from my account (card not present). 10 min queue. how much damage could you do to someones bank account in 10 mins while they are stuck on hold!

They take a small amount of money just to see if you notice. If you dont, then they will go In for the kill so to speak. Well spotted. Always keep an eye out for small amounts of money you haven't spent.

That's pretty scary for you, although hopefully there's not that many traders who are going to take card not present and no security number transactions. Or am I too innocent?

I do buy stuff online from time to time. It only takes some thieving scumbag to jot down the numbers. Halifax have literally this moment, stopped the card for me. Nothing else has happened as far as they can see in the last 10 minutes. New card on its way.

Dont forget, you can buy things over the phone, or the internet and no card is needed then.

When I worked in a store that took cards you had to have the number, security number and postcode for goods to be posted and refused any requests for goods to be paid for over the phone and then collected later. IME it takes someone dishonest at the trading end as well to complete a theft.

Something similar happened to my wife's card, £2 to a bogus charity.

They had the numbers of a few thousand cards though, and were caught by a police raid on their house before anything had even appeared on people's statements.

I don't know how they do it exactly. I was listening to a consumer programme amd they were talking abiut it.

Well the first issue was 4 weeks in and I presumed was just cable stretch as after it came back from its service, it was fine again.
They have gone from bad to worse. This time I shall express my displeasure

I took the hybrid. The new seat is fantastic....the gears were smooth, although I had the chain slip and come off once.
I got up the hills quicker, it's easier work than the MTB....so why can't I really get into this bike?

I have an idea but I really am a bit unhappy with bikes right now
