American State Governments started taxing them in the 1980's, coinciding with my case of the influenza/pneumonia. Took me two weeks to get back on my feet. I figured I'd quit smoking, so I'll just stay quit. Thirty some years later, I'm still quit, and the taxes just keep going up.

It's bizarre how governments moan about them, but also love the tax they derive from them
