All risks cover is expensive because it is all risks. You may be better off just conacting you insurance company and having a word with them. Policies are different from Insurance company to Insurance Company.

Some policies(like mine) have a limited amount of All Risks cover for unspecified items built in to the basic policy. It's worth a look.

For a few years back in the 80's I ran in the international cross country race in Gateshead and enjoyed a Newcastle pub crawl on the Saturday night. I don't suppose it would be as civil these days!
