I use a 2.1 ah 12v SLA...same radio. I fancied trying the contests but I prefer the relaxed SOTA...I like yapping...I use my 7ah SLA for powering my ATU light.
I see a G3 call being used as nick on this site

Contesting is exhausting, I did a few 24 hour contests. I wonder if G4DEZ is still top of the tables these days?
I did spy a G3 too!

Oh boy, life is tough at this age. The 10th grandchild arrived into the world today so we have to go to karaoke again tonight - must wet the babies head and all that don't you know!. I don't remember it being all about fun when we were new 'parents' - and I know which I prefer!!
