I don't know how they can do the reasonable prices especially when you consider how much it cost them to build the dam thing. It was milions

The train fare would certainly help but TBH the tourist potential helped, its unique to the UK. I could see from Pen Y Pass and you can see how they thought of a choo choo to the top. I thought I'd walk to save money plus they wouldn't accept my bus pass^_^

not at the moment. 2 people fell 1000 feetdown Snowdon on saturday. they were caught in a landslide and had to be rescued. Others turned back as they didnt realise how bad or deep the snow is on snowdon at the moment.

I stay off the hills in snow....but when it disappears^_^

IO81XW, that's the nearest good summit. :thumbsup:


I can work into N.Wales from some hills on both 4m and 2m.....On a sunny day I just go until my battery pegs out.
