-9 Fahrenheit here, also dry, with light winds, I am soon off into the mild morning as well.
It's a very mild day here, though the walk home from the karaoke in the early hours was freezing. Still, we saw one of the herons fishing at the mouth of the old harbour and then saw a cat and a fox as we left the beach and reached home. Seeing some wildlife always makes our night/day.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I find this whole forum more civil, as well as a couple of mountain bike forums in the US. Many people here do not recognize the difference between civil discourse and verbal brawling. You can turn on any American News Station like Fox and see that. I also love lamb casserole.

It smells delicious when it's in the oven. You can't beat it.

And yes disagreeing with someone else's opinion is one thing attacking that person on a personal level is not.

Must go for a while myself. I'll be doing a lot of Greek today (what's new, eh?).

I've just started spelling out some new words and the old 'E' thing is kicking in right away. The first word has 8 letters and 4 of them represent an 'e' sound but only 2 of the four are the same symbol and even those 2 are different in that one bears a stress mark!! Speaking/reading is a lot easier than spelling. It took me 2 days to complete the section on kitchen appliances!! However, my vocabulary is growing daily so I'm still loving it - especially because Mrs B used to think she was far superior at the reading/writing the Greek and now she is way behind.

Will talk later. :hello:

Really sorry you've decided to do that Gav. I can't disagree with your reasoning though - I've been avoiding certain threads because they've either been taking things too far (taking off door mirrors anyone?) or just descending into slanging matches (the same sets of names seem to crop up in these I notice).

What's happened to the place lately?
It has turned a bit poisonous in certain areas recently; maybe the weather is getting to people.
I am also intending to take a back seat in here now. Just getting tired of all the baiting which is going on, and a certain vociferous clique rounding on anyone with a different POV.. I will confess to having taken the bait on occasion recently, so the best course of action for me is to stop getting involved - but then THEY have won.
Using the ignore facility is well and good, but if I was to ignore all of that clique, threads would make for very disjointed reading.
Sad, but the place is going downhill.

Its true about using the ignore button, but I must confess that in one or two cases I have resorted to using it. Feel free to stay here as long as you want
You are more than welcome. :hello:

I'm not going anywhere, just avoiding the nastiness .
After all, I'm signed up to a few up and coming CC rideouts and have no intention of missing out just because of a few morons . The vast majority of people on here are great, but as in real life, it only takes one determined PITA to make things difficult.
