Never been there.
Well worth a visit. Straight forward folk, you know exactly where you stand with a Yorkshireman. IMHO a lot of traits are shared by Yorkshiremen and Scottish Highlanders, which may be why there are so many Yorkshiremen living in the Highlands and vice versa. Probably something to do with wresting a living from unforgiving terrain.

The only place up north I have been is in scotland. Glasgow, and I stayed at troon golf course.

Yes suicide was a sin in the eyes of the religious peoples!
I think it was more the idea that it made it seem like a valid option? :whistle:

Those of you who saw the original film rather than the series may remember that a character decides to commit suicide because he suspects that he might be gay, after having sexual problems on a one-night-stand with a nurse.
