Yep - a polite ask is all you need at times. But if you really are delving deep into little used lanes you'll be surprised how few of the "locals" know much about them:rolleyes:

Especially around here. Once you get off the A roads, then none of the roads have any names at all. It is then the lane where Jones lives, or williams. Sometimes you don't even get that. It's simply where ifor lives or Hugh. lol And there are so many of them

I for one would need a map under those circumstances :blush:

Old git on old bikes
I live about 12 14 miles from there. I understand there is a great cycling centre there. It caters for all ages and abilities. I intend to visit in the spring.

Keep it simple is the best motto re bikes. On which note just started a thread on the Kestrel fixed wheel build for my youngest in Classic and Vintage

I had a quick look, not that I understand much because I don't. Nothing unusual there I hear you say.
