Done a bit of tramming in the past, as well as turf footing.

Same farms in Ireland. Thirteen hours spent turning the Callagh by hand & then tramming it. Followed by dinner of bacon & cabbage at midnight. Bed & up to help try and get the cows innards back inside after giving birth.

Ooooh I really like that one, I suspect I would get told no to that too, however, that sort of non-cloth type roof would not use up my stocks of oil cloth, not that attempting to use that as leverage with Mr P worked last time.

I wonder how it pedals?

We use a couple of bags of sugar, sprinkle it on and (sucking noise) it shrinks , then push in.
