I've bypassed the as we are short of milk, and have opened a bottle of parsnip wine instead.

Just ordered myself a Chinese take away. Think I deserve it after this week. One of my best friends from my teenage years committed suicide on Tuesday. His family and our family are still very close and my mum and dad and his mum and dad were on holiday together in America until this happened. It has taken the wind out of my sails a bit. A good game of badminton with @Rickshaw Phil earlier helped me cheer up a bit

It is quite foul here and has not stopped tipping it down since i left London. I am a pretty light packer but my pile of stuff to take down to the New Forest is growing. I am preparing for all sorts.
