here, still saw a few cyclists in full on rain jackets

Yesterday morning when the drizzle started, everyone (who wasn't already wearing one) put on their jackets and I was asked if I'd brought mine. I had, but it wasn't cold so didn't put it on. By the time we left the cafe, the wind had picked up and the clouds were dropping proper rain so I reluctantly donned my (kindof)windproof. Someone else was pondering their clothing options for the return leg and was told (tongue in cheek, I hope) that "it must be bad as even Jo's got her jacket on"...

Ah, the Metro......that fount of all knowledge. The BBC weather site says till the end of the year

I used to take the Metro home everyday when i had 2 real fires . Always burnt nicely.

The weekend improves? I have got 7 bags of lemons from Sainsburys and will spend best part of tomorrow rubbing them on laminated transformer core.
