Yes, although driving a car over Lendal Bridge during the day isn't at the moment, it's the Big Story. It's a trial as part of the plan to extend the pedestrian areas. Personally, if I introduced any new rules to Lendal Bridge, it would be to reserve one pavement for dawdlers and tourists taking photos, and the other for people actually trying to go somewhere, like the station...

Listening to Radio 2 this afternoon on the way back from a meeting, they played a new song by katie [the wailer] Melua... think it's called , "I will be there". What a manipulatively cynical choice for a record release, timed just in time for 1000s of parents driving along listening to the radio while delivering children to university for the first time away from home for the majority... they'll all be crying their eyes out.
[won't bother finding a link as her voice irritates me the way she slides up into the notes all the time. Yuk.
