Back in the 60's, my Dad had a job that involved a fair bit of travelling within his patch, and regularly stopped for lunch at various pubs. Once, he went in to one, and the landlord said "Morning Mr Archer!" and was overheard by his elderly mother in law who was visiting. She asked for Dad's autograph! He never knew which of the Archers she thought he might be!
