I worked on a residential archeaeology field school at Uni, and we spent two weeks in a house in Ireland. Most of the overseas students on the school came from the US. I came into the kitchen one evening, to find two girls sitting on stools in front of the washing machine, with popcorn.

They only have top loaders over there, and they were fascinated by the revolving washing behind the window....

Anyway, we've had a great breakfast of blackpudding, spam, and eggs and we're going to head back up and tackle some more DIY...
