The car is stuffed with fire wood. The stuff in the builder's bag is all chopped. The rest of the car is stuffed with cut discs ready for chopping. I will take my axe with me.

I am really hoping I can get it dropped off tomorrow, when the kitchen cabinets are supposed to be available, don't fancy all those slugs and wood lice in the car for too long.

Just seen this on twatter, a job application letter from Leonardo da Vinci -> CLICK ME and the first thing that went through my mind was, NT is Leonardo da Vinci .................... you tell me what you want and I will not only make it but I will make the machine that will make it

Leonardo said:
And if any of the above-mentioned things seem impossible or impracticable to anyone, I am most readily disposed to demonstrate them in your park or in whatsoever place shall please Your Excellency, to whom I commend myself with all possible humility.
Humility - my a*se - he makes himself out to be some kind of genius!

Granted, he was some kind of genius!

I especially like:

I have also types of cannon, most convenient and easily portable,

Sounds like something from an Innovations catalogue!

Well done on the logs NT, looks like it was a nice day to be out chopping wood. It's been actually hot here!

Well, it wold have been cooler, but I had to keep an outer long sleeved top on, since the zip on my trousers finally gave up the ghost, and I needed the outer top to cover the resultant gaping...

Thanks for the reminder: I need to find a safety pin for my trousers before venturing out tomorrow. It's only been a year since I swore I'd get round to mending them.

Evening All...

Jo, About The Bridge, is it back on the telly? I saw it last year and was hooked. In fact I've been looking on ebay over the last week for the DVD, but they seem to be selling for around £25. A bit too dear for me, might opt for a T shirt instead !

Shouldn't that say:
'Fighting Crime, Struggling In Social Situations, Taking Clothes Off In The Office!'

After a day with my Mother, my blood pressure also goes through the roof. A glass of sparkling wine helps upon my return home.

Talking of accents, as we were, a day or so ago, I do not really have any sort of definable accent. I was born in Yate, aka Chipping Sodbury, near Bristol, but at the age of four, we went to India for four years. Then Saudi Arabia for two years. The school I attended in Jeddah, was an American School. The only other non-American at the school was a Brazilian boy. You might be able to imagine what sort of accent I had when I returned to England at the age of ten. ^_^
