Ooooh yes, wire coat hanger! I think there are some lurking somewhere. I could untwist and make a loop at the end, so as not to puncture the hose.

I don't suppose you have any of that wire you hang net curtain from? That's flexible, but might be strong enough over as short distance to dislodge a blockage.

Phil, could you look and see if it's snowy out here in York? I can't be bothered to get out of bed to go to the window....

Actually, hang on, I can check the river webcam.

No, no snow. Just rain....

A bit of :sun: here and no rain. I've been swimming - 2,100m. My activity for today is to take old Mrs Rocky to get her cataract fixed. I think the op takes about 15 minutes but picking her up, taking her to the hospital, finding somewhere to park, booking her in, waiting for the op, waiting after the op, taking her back to the car, taking her home, making sure she is OK, driving back home will take up most (if not more) of the day.
Aren't you meant to be pulling Speicher out of the drains today? Or will you do that when you get home?

I hope someone does this for me when I get old

Yes, I do have some net curtain wire, but as you say it is too bendy. I have found something that might do the job: a loo brush with a long handle, kept for outside mucky tasks. (I may have mentioned that I rarely throw anything away.) It could be that the small perforations in the hose are blocked.

If all else fails, there is a builder who lives opposite, who might be able to help. However, I prefer only to ask him to do things in case of emergency, or for large jobs for which he would be paid, rather than small fiddly jobs.

Blue sky, with one or two fluffy white clouds, and :sun: it could be  here soon. ^_^
