By the way, does anyone else think it's really not safe for potty to be cycling to and from his night shift in all this snow, sleet and bitter winds?

Today has been a lot better. Chilly but also very sunny and not too much wind. I was out in it, briefly, with bare arms.

You don't need me to do that.

However, the 'bare arms' part was only a dash outside to get something from the car. The friend's house I was in had the CH on full blast and it was sweltering inside! I was grateful for the cool down.

I haven't been swimming for about 15 years. My nearest pool is in Todmorden about 5.5 miles away, but one is being built in Mytholmroyd, only about 2 miles from where I live.
