I'm feeling very pleased with myself - I've got my End Note referencing software sorted, so it works. Mind you fettling the software problem was much more interesting than writing this academic paper....I'll have to find another activity to distract myself
Go back to the swimming baths with a pound's worth of 2p pieces. Throw them all around the pool and then swim around underwater retrieving them. That should keep you busy!

Nice one Colin , are you speaking from personal experience?
I only used to do one coin at a time! But ... I used to throw it in at one end of Coventry's 50 metre pool, walk to the other end, dive in and swim the 50 metres underwater to get it. My aim was to collect the coin, turn round and swim back to the other end before resurfacing. I think the furthest I got was about 75 metres. I reckon I could have done it with enough training - that was done when I was an untrained 10 year old!

I haven't been swimming for about 15 years. My nearest pool is in Todmorden about 5.5 miles away, but one is being built in Mytholmroyd, only about 2 miles from where I live. When that has been completed, I will see when they have adult-only sessions and start going to them. The walk there and back and an hour of swimming would make up a good morning/evening of exercise. (I got too self-conscious to swim in public when I got fat, but I will be slim again by the time that the pool has been completed. Only the stretch marks to worry about then!)

When I sort my paper for recycling, I am shocked at how much is unwanted gumpf. The local paper has lots of inserts in it, as do the (few) magazines that I have on subscription.

Any letters that are blank on the reverse are kept to be used for shopping lists etc. I think I now have enough scrap paper to last me a very long time.

:hello:

Had a migraine this morning - one of those where even moving your head makes you want to xx(. Recovered enough by this afternoon to take the dog out but still feeling dodgy - even just walking past the chocolates in the co-op made me feel bleurgh again.

It'll be an early night, methinks.
