I might try what I thought of earlier, 50 stitches, and decrease every five stitches, then every four stitches, three etc. then join up the two ends.
Scary how much money it costs to run one of those engines. I don't think I'll buy one.....
I think that's what I'd do too, just easier than using double ended needles, especially for relatively small pieces.

My gran was brilliant at needle work. She made us 2 girls some really amazing stuff when we were kids. Her skill has not been passed on.... I can sow on a button but it takes time![]()
