Went into W H Smith today as I wanted to buy a book and I had looked on the website and it says it is £8.96 so I thought I would pop in and if it wasnt in stock then I could order it, so in I went and asked for the book which wasnt in stock. So I asked if I could order it and she said yes you can that will be £12.99 .................. but its only £8.96 on the website say I ................. well its £12.99 in store she says ................. WTF.

Almost the exact same thing happened in waterstones

TBH - I have never enjoyed shopping so I do all of mine online, except for obvious things like food, drink and small household goods like soap and toothpaste.

I popped into the WH Smiths in West One Shopping Centre in Eccles. It is the only shop still open there and it is a bit of a mess inside with sale stuff all over the place.
When I was paying for my A4 and A5 sketch pads I asked when they would be closing the store.
The checkout woman told me they weren't going to close, and that there will be a new supermarket being built in the rest of the shopping centre, so they will stay open throughout that.
