Archie, post up a photo, or a link to the radiator. I am curious as to how bad it could be in real life compared to the catalogue image.
.

I've calmed down now and decided to get a 496x78mm polished stainless steel plate made up by a metalworker I know to hide the convector fins, with 8mm holes drilled at 10mm centres... Mrs A_T can put her candles and her cuppa on the plate and it will act as a diffuser to warm towels!

It's good finding solutions to other people's mistakes... been quite theraputic!!

Meeting went well. I have been offered three days teaching at college. The only thing I need to do is figure out how I write lecturers for level 2 students. I have till Monday to get everything sorted out. I think it's time to stop thinking about it for this evening as I'm feeling a bit :tired:. But still :hyper:

Fantastic Gromit.... bamboozle them with Latin names and tell them at the first lecture that you will be selecting one exam question at random from each of the lectures... that'll freak them out!

:hello:

I've been working in my Aunt's garden today. Back and arms ache now.

There's a nice big compost heap which has been maturing for several years now (possibly up to 20 ) and she decided it's about time some of it was bagged up so I have started an open cast compost mine  :

44 bags filled so far. Must be over a ton, and plenty left to go.

Wow, that's a heck of a hole!

You ought to have hired a mini-digger. Easier on the back, and you get to play with a digger...

Didn't think of that.:shy:

Even if I had thought of it I'm not sure how stable it would have been as I wanted to get the compost out of the centre first (there's nettles all round the edges and I didn't want to get any live roots in the bags.)

Well done. :bravo::cheers:

If you need any help let me know.
Get whatever paper work, from previous lectures, that you can and the curriculum. If there is a schedule of works already written then that will help get the lectures in the right order.

Poundland tyre levers (the big ones for car tyres)!
I bought three a while ago and just by the feel I could tell they were something special and not made of cheese. So I took a chance and bought three more. They only needed the flash and machining marks grinding off and then polishing.

I have just fixed two punctures in the MGB wheels in my workshop. The Poundland levers were spot on and performed perfectly. Both tyres had nails in them. I used the puncture kit from Tiddles and found the rubber cement had dried up. Fortunately I had some self adhesive patches so I used them.
The tubes are back in the tyres and the tyres are back on the rims. Easy job!

Now settled down with a :cuppa:
