Only 4.6 miles home last night at 5.45pm in very heavy queuing traffic and pouring rain. But Aldi zip-off jacket kept me dry & warm OK. BBB neoprene overshoes kept feet dry and
Altura NV winter gloves kept hands dry & warm.
Feeling smug & invincible, I then set off at about 6.15pm with no1 son to his drum lesson, back home for ten mins, then off out to pick him up. At about 7.30 I finally got home & into dry gear.
By this time, though, the Aldi jacket's sleeves had got rather wet & the overshoes were somewhat damp. The shoes were damp externally but not cold or wet through. Gloves were waterlogged externally but hands had stayed dry. I nevertheless felt cold and fed up & my mood lasted all evening
The adventure of riding in the dark & the rain had turned sour.
