Arc light, with the reflector at the top, angled slightly downwards.

With all this input if it come off hope we get commission

Calvin will get you

Yes it would very steam punk I love stuff like that, much of the antique trade now is all about selling a look.

Doesn't help that Phillip Serrell is a friend of a friend. It kind of rubs off onto you after a while...

At least I'm not turning galvanized water tanks into coffee tables.

You've left no parts on your desk!
You'll never find them in time.

Hope it all goes well tomorrow though.

I've got no desk.

Also, I spoke once five weeks ago to my work experience intern about keeping his work area tidy, and now he puts me to shame every day; tools lined neatly and floor clean. It's quite embarrassing.

I'm guessing a client, is nearer a job interview rather than a volunteer post of which a bike recycling charity would have many??

It's a bit different here. A client is usually someone who was unemployed for more than two years, and they're sent to us by the Job Center to get them back into the routine of coming to work every day without too much pressure. Usually this means they have some kind of psychological or addiction issues.

They could be a bike mechanic with 20+ years experience or completely unskilled and saw a bike once and thought it looked nice.

Volunteers with the skill to fix bikes are extremely rare. It's a German thing; a bike wrench has two years training minimum, so after that they tend to want paying. Skilled amateurs tend not to apply; I don't know why.

You've not mislaid it, have you?

Not this time. I think the management took one look at me and quite sensibly decided I shouldn't be trusted with such dangerous items.

Currently I'm trying to tidy up a bit more so it looks like I have my act together for at least ten minutes after the new client comes. It's a high bar to set but I'm attempting optimism.
