Advertise it somewhere? I know it's a long shot that someone is looking for that exact bike but it'd be a shame to strip it and then find that someone does.

Do you have charity groups over there getting disabled people cycling? They might be aware of someone who's desperate for a bike like that.

Are there any cycling for the disabled charities local, there’s one in Leeds for example, where you take the kids to cycle round a track, perhaps it could be an opportunity to do it up, donate it and get the local press in for a bit of free marketing :okay:

That would probably be Streetbikes - and there's others like it.

Stroke

Try stroke charities / disabled cycling groups first.

I'm going to try this but I'm not hopeful, because the previous owner will have known these charities and probably tried them already; we were the last resort before taking it to the tip.

Maybe, like yourself, they thought no-one else would want it/be able to use it, as it was customised for an individual. Or that you might have better knowledge on where to sell it.

It's more than a recumbent tricycle, it's a fully equipped mobility device. When did you last see a pedal cycle with indicators?

Exactly, that's why I really want it to go to someone else who can get some use out of it.

I've contacted a large local school for people with a variety of disabilities and they are hopeful that it will be of use to their mobility department. I've sent pictures.

Have you tried sitting on it yet?
The move to recumbent from upright can seem a bit odd at first.

Good to hear the plans for breaking it up have been put on hold.

My wheel jig made it from Stuttgart by bike and train in one piece and is now installed in the workshop...

Which means that this one, which is even less useful than it looks, can be retired.
