Hi all, have promised to take a friend to Trinity Wharf, Fat boys and the cable car as a birthday treat. Not a usual cyclist so they'll borrow my Brompton as they're a lot taller than me. Could anyone share a GPS route that is scenic and includes lot of break points/cafes en route? Much appreciated.

Fat Boys was always closed on Bank Holibob weekends.
I don't know if its any different with the new people who manage it....
As an alternative, if it is open, the cafe in Island Gardens by the north lift of the Greenwich foot tunnel does a very, very good jerk chicken - if you are not in a hurry - the service is, ahem.... relaxed.

Snuck in a very charming Sunday London this morning. Time and time again, life shows me that knowing where I'm going (and how to get there) is really just a way to up my chances of timely arrival at the expense of finding out where I'm really needed.

Of course, this is exactly the kind of self serving reasoning you can expect from someone who never knows where he is, but today, at least, it worked

I'm still chasing somewhere to see the Vulcan XH558 flying.
But if weather or logistics scupper that, I could be up for going to .... Cambridge.
It has been way too long since I was last there.

It was at Bournemouth yesterday as son#1&only was due to be there and I 'suggested' he hang around for the grumble at 14:00 or thereabouts...I was in the Harp, looking at Spitfire only.
