any suggestions on where to go today? i don't really want fight the wind

i've been up since 5 too - stuck on the loo ^_^ i've lost weight

That was fun - although I spent more time drinking coffee and chatting than cycling which with the windy weather suited me perfectly! (I can wobble quite happily on my own without the assistance of the weather blowing a gale). It was far too windy for me to be out for long.

I met gbs at Hyde Park Corner and we discussed gust tactics and then plotted a route westwards. Just as we thought that was a plan ianrauk, arallsopp and Mista Preston arrived. "That'll be the end of westwards" I thought as they'll all be in trouble with the pumpkin prerogative. But no. They had already thought west -they were taking their route home via Putney and Croydon. Topcat1 arrived and a few minutes later rb155. Brill! We were off!

Less than half a lap of Hyde Park later and we were by the Serpentine drinking coffee! Excellent! Hyde Park now has its resident parakeets. Escaped from Devon (or something!) Then out to Fulham and over Putney Bridge. gbs headed to Richmond Park, the others headed up Putney High Street and I headed home. Maybe better weather for a Brommie? Anyway, it was a fun couple of hours. I took some pics https://picasaweb.google.com/108733...authkey=Gv1sRgCNf-wKzektzQ9wE&feat=directlink (must sort out this link thing).

M :hello:

NB Somewhat shocked to see no photo of arallsopp - and especially as he had no beard! ^_^

Weather was not entirely as forecast - v little rain - although the wind was up to F4 in the gusts, 20+kph. This was quite manageable as a head wind (although it made Sawyer's Hill difficult on the s/s) and as a cross wind (Robin Hood Gate to Roehampton Gate) it was barely noticeable. Later, I returned to a windless park, walking with wife and friends for a couple of hours, slipping out through the pedestrian gate at dusk whilst motorists fumed.

NB:More wind is forecast for this week.

Move the 'Auto' switch to manual mode (the little camera picture), then press 'Func set' button and scroll up/down until you get to 'Rec Mode' then press 'Func Set' button again and scroll up and down to 'Colour Accent' and press 'Func Set' again. Then focus on the colour you want to isolate and with the shutter button pressed half way down you can compose your picture.
