Strange Road Signs

Spotted just off Kirkstall Road Leeds, a Diversion sign, some wag had sprayed Joy above the word Diversion, perhaps the roadworks had torn them apart….or just the Disorder that upset them, was driving so couldn’t get a photo though

Odd sign to put up on a cycle path
Obviously for errant vehicle drivers but may confuse some non-local cyclists who use GPS
Looks like someone took a dislike to it and 'dismantled' it 😂

I had a friend who had a theory about this. She reckoned sign-makers always offered clients a choice of two services - standard, for a sensible price, without correcting the copy the client supplied; or enhanced, for quite a bit more, with a proper check. The guess was that most clients went for 'standard' and had all their own errors immortalised on their signs.

The two which I think illustrated this best (not road signs, but still) were the local butcher offering 'Pork Tenderlion' and the local restaurant - 'Mango Lounge: Indian Dinning'.
