I believe it was true, and read that the guy supposedly responsible for the mix up retired and his mates had a commemorative sign made as a leaving present. He was sporting enough to agree to be in the paper

Someone moved this sign 100 metres or so to a more fitting location:

Whilst out last week I saw one large red sign at the side of the road near Badsworth, with the wording "Cats eyes removed" I think it's a bit harsh, surely the RSPCA might have something to say about that, also driving out of Sherburn in Elmet the council have put a sign out with the message "Warning Potholes" well that'll help won't it, not.

Blimey we're back where it all started in post 1!

Hebog is actually Welsh for Falcon, and that is part of a circular cycle route on Anglesey (there are four marked circular routes on Anglesey, all named in Welsh after birds).
