I've just moved my car away from underneath the giant oak tree where I park.
It looks like it's going to be a wild one in the coming hours

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
It's supposed to hit us in mid Wales in the morning. Fingers crossed it won't be too bad. Being in the foothills of the Cambrian mountains, we tend to be a bit sheltered from the worst of the weather.

I'm hoping that Darragh does me a good turn and snaps the cherry tree that, despite being dead, ate the bar from my chainsaw the other day. There's only a couple of inches of wood that's still keeping a nearly 30-foot tall tree upright.

Knowing my luck though, the damn thing won't fall where I was intending to drop it...

Regardless, I'll most likely have more lumberjilling to do anyway. I'm still clearing up after dear Bertie...

A red warning here between 11pm to 3am tomorrow. Very heavy rain earlier but it all seems calm at the moment.

I decided against a planned night out as I didn't fancy walking home if it's as bad as forecast.

I believe there was flooding elsewhere in the town, probably heavy rain at high tide.
