Starting a cycle club in Halton (HCC)

I am working myself but do let us know how you get on, I have just got back from a nice ride into widnes and on to the TPT upto halebank on to ditton back down kingway into west bank and back into Runcorn. My bike is running really well thanks to John of service my cycle in Runcorn if you need any work on your bike give John a ring, full service for £30 that's half the price others charge. Also he will collect your bike and drop it back off free of charge

So have we got anyone here who would like to become a committee member, and offer the time and passion to get this club off the ground

I'll be one to offer myself to a committee however i'm not that fit at the moment. I'm definitely interested in offering the time and effort for it!

Thanks sabian I think John is up for it too so that makes 3 of use, where about in Runcorn are you? John is from weston point so we need to get together and get some duties sorted out any skills we have to bring to the table however big or small they may be.

John - Where are you in Weston Point? If you're the fella on Mather Avenue on the road bike and full lyrca... I've seen you about and drooled over that bike you ride!

I do college over in Widnes Monday - Thursday 9-5 so any time outside of that with a bit of prior notice is good for me.

Glad your bike is runing OK Charles still needs a bit of tweaking though!

I'm not in Weston point I'm in Dale street off Norman road.....sabian if you see my in lycra you would be too busy laughing to notice the bike!

I ride a carrera banshee x when down billing and a diamond back response sport when on the road or x country

any one up for a ride this evening think I am going into widnes following the TPT to Warrington then back down Chester road to Walton gardens then join the bridge water back to Runcorn can set off any time to suit anyone who wants to come or would change my route to suit. I just wanna get out and meet some riders.

Hi thanks for the route mr hippo I will follow the route when I get a chance and let you know how I get on, I have done the delamere run a number of times there is a campsite there now and my and some other riders would get our tents and head upthere for the night, I am going to take my 6 year old up for the night when the sun gets here, thanks again for the routes and sorry to hear about the club hope you don't mind calling on you if we need anymore info talk to you soon charles

Thanks for the invite Charles but I have just got back from a 60 mile road ride so that's me done for today. It would have been ideal to join at the Warrington section then ride back with you and then return myself. Another time most definately.

How was the ride where did you end up getting too, I have been for a run to hale light house with the baby seat on, and I couldn't of asked for better weather and the baby loved it taking the boys campping at the weekend if it stays like this all week

Went through Frodsham, Delamere, Tarporley, Weaverham, Appleton, Warrington, Bold, Burtonwood and back to Warrington. Great weather for it. Will try and do something similar next week depending on work. Possibly next Wed not sure yet.
