We have tickets for the 29th. We are waiting until it comes on at the arthouse cinema - comfy seats, no popcorn, no 3 gallon jugs of cola and no yapping teenagers.

i liked the real ones..i dont like cgi as much..the originals just seem more movie like if you know what i mean..tho saying i prefer..i love all of them.i guess i saw the first 3 at the cinima .the others were all on tv which makes a difference.

Small person duties mean I'm unlikely to get to see it at the cinema. It is on at Kino Bambino on Monday, but I'll be at work .

Probably went the same way as Ghandi, did one film never saw him again.

Ghandi was actually a real person, but I think in the film he was played by Jar Jar Binks.

Saw it yesterday afternoon. Was concerned that JJ Abrams would change and simplify everything.

In the end a very enjoyable experience, finished wishing he'd made the prequel trilogy. He preserved things much more than I thought he would, it did feel like Star Wars. Only criticism I have was there weren't enough main characters (another JJ Abrams trait). I don't think one of the castings will ever have problems getting offered interesting parts in future!

I see that the "legacy cast" does not include Jar Jar Binks. Life can be cruel. Does anyone know what he has been doing since the movie. I haven't seen him in anything else.

No, I am just going to annoy everyone in the cinema by asking for whispered explainations when I don't understand whats going on.

I'll probably check it out on wickipaedia before we go in.

I honestly wouldn't bother.

There are a few nods to previous movies, and the story is obviously a continuation. However, the movie can be watched as a stand alone. My partner has never seen star wars but picked it up quite well. They have done a good job in making it accessible to casual/first time viewers.

I do think it is actually best to leave spoilers to some time next week. Although I saw it yesterday the vast majority of people I know are going to watch it Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday or even Thursday.
