I do touch it but I feel I could raise my seat more. It seems I have to practise that sliding down as well. Sometimes it is a bit of a problem stopping when on a raise/steep as it is more difficult to touch the ground. I just need to get more confident with my bike (sorry for hijacking the topic).
A couple of weeks ago I was in a group ride, the lady in front of me stopped suddenly on a hill so I had to stop suddenly behind her. Well I jumped out of my seat and on top of my tube. My lady bits hurt for a week after that
P.S. BTW I'm with the same model, but it looks different. What year is yours?
When I was 16 years old, I rode a cycle with too large a frame.
The saddle was jammed down , at its lowest point.
I used to be quite happy, slipping of the saddle and easing back up again
when moving off.
Sixty years later, having taken up cycling again, hopping up and down
to and from the saddle is not an option.
I bought the smallest framed Sirrus for comfort and reach; but here I am, again,
with the saddle-post at its lowest point.
Nowadays I need to put the ball of my foot firmly on the ground.
The phrases mens' bits and ladies' bits are quite amusing;
what is wrong with the word 'crotch' ?
