No, my bikes get washed once a week and polished once a month.

Spraying soapy water removes the grease from the unsealed bearing on older bikes, so I just wipe them with a damp cloth/sponge. Good lube maintenance is more important than cleaning in my book........

I can't be the only person on here who doesn't have the luxury of a shed/garage/outhouse or other secure-ish storage facilities outside the house?
I am a flat dweller with a spare bedroom. That is where the bikes (x 4) live. Therefore, yes they do get cleaned after a dirty ride. Having said that, I am a fair weather cyclist, so I avoid going out in manky weather in the first place.

You need to start putting in some mileage on that gorgeous Ridgeback, manky weather, it will laugh it off on a tour. :becool:

No I don't clean my bikes every time they are out but they are kept well lubed and pretty clean.

At this time of year they can go weeks without getting a good clean however they get much more TLC in the winter and often get cleaned after each ride dependent on how much muck is on the road.

I got into trouble at the LBS for washing my MTB too much
Now I usually just polish the bikes with GT85 but not after every ride.
They also very occasionally get washed with hot water and Muc off but only if they really need it.

Yes. Always.
Whereas cleaning ones bike mid ride is a step too far.
