No, my bikes get washed once a week and polished once a month.
You need to start putting in some mileage on that gorgeous Ridgeback, manky weather, it will laugh it off on a tour.I can't be the only person on here who doesn't have the luxury of a shed/garage/outhouse or other secure-ish storage facilities outside the house?
I am a flat dweller with a spare bedroom. That is where the bikes (x 4) live. Therefore, yes they do get cleaned after a dirty ride. Having said that, I am a fair weather cyclist, so I avoid going out in manky weather in the first place.
500 miles in it's first month was a good start! You need to start putting in some mileage on that gorgeous Ridgeback, manky weather, it will laugh it off on a tour.
Whereas cleaning ones bike mid ride is a step too far.Yes. Always.
I not only clean and wax them after every single ride, but I remove the cable inners and iron them flat to maintain that crisp-new-cable feel.
