As I said before and have spoke to a couple of my mates, they like myself cannot fault the RS010's, do not worry take the offer as they are a much better build than the Giant standards, which are sh*te, no wonder they cannot give you replacement as they have dished them out to every other complainant, take the shimano's and you'll be glad you did.....If not publicly ridicule me on this forum.......

If they get you a new wheel from Giant I would also ask if they would check the tension of the spokes as I have found all the Giant wheels I've had a look at they were all unevenly tensioned......:headshake:
What does spoke tension have to do with spokes breaking?

Good to hear that people think the RS010's are good.

I was shocked when I spoke to Giant and they said they don't have a single pair of there own wheels in stock. The dealer and Giant agree the RS010's would be best choice but we will see.

I am 115KG so I think I better cross my fingers that the RS010's hold up for now. Giant seems to think they will but we will see

Have a look around on the internet and you will find that it is attributed to causing spoke failure largely down to uneven stress being put on certain spokes because of uneven tension.

A wheel with uneven tension in the spokes cannot be straight enough to pass past the brake blocks. I think you'll find that old wive's tale of uneven tension to be founded on myth and myth alone.

Whatever, believe what you want, I'm not entering into a debate with you I'll stick to what I have found to be and you are so clearly set in your opinions....Have them...:cuppa:

They are probably waiting for the credit from Mavic, things do get put on the back burner, maybe give them a wee reminder on Monday or Tuesday, give them a bit of a sob story saying you've had to borrow a wheel of one of your mates and you need to give them it back ASAP.......a little white lie but may gee them up a bit...^_^

So sit the wheels in central then adjust the breaks so they are central then adjust using the screw ontop.

Got my new wheels back so fitting them back on the frame in the morning. Bike shop said I will have to adjust the top and low settings on the derailleur so that the chain does not come off and that the jocky wheel is lined up with the top and bottom gear. Is this easy
