Like others I tend to try a few and see what they come up with. You will usually be rounding to nearest even length in mm anyway. Try not to overthink it.

If you don't know the basics how do you plan building wheels? Why not get your local bike shop to do it? If you're he'll bent on doing it yourself try YouTube.

You'll never learn to build wheels by asking your LBS to do it. It does not matter if you screw up, you won't break anything. Just slacken of and start again. This magazine taught me how to build my own -

Hi Ajax, I've been delayed with the project but now all the parts have arrived. I decided to build the wheels at home, what do I need besides a stand and a spoke wrench? I need to buy grease for building the bike in general, will this grease also be suitable for build the wheels? Do I need glue or something like that? Thanks

Screwdriver, in fact I use a little battery powered one. Then final tightening and truing with the spoke key.
Normal grease is fine given this is a one off use: the Park stuff comes at a brand premium fwiw.
Ruler to tape across the fork to allow you to achieve centering.
