I live on the west coast so can only go east on the start of my cycle .... and with this wind the first 5-6 miles is an absolute killer and just seems to sap the energy from your legs ... not at all enjoyable ... but the return trip is far better

I live right on the East coast so i'm the complete opposite.....not sure which is worse really !!

Well you can go north to off set it a little, its what i have been doing, well N.W. taking in some small hills also helps off set it especially if you can get in the lee of the hill.

I can't even go directly North either because of the coastline, i've just come back from a little 22 mile loop.....could'nt have really done much more to be honest, i was all over the road at times....not good !

Yea I know it curves round to the N.W.
It was a bit blowy when I was out this morning, and it got up a bit after that.

It is never fun going to Wakefield no matter how you get there!
Getting there with an Easterly not so bad, did it to Agbrigg in sub 35mins the other day.
mind I dont like that by-pass past Normanton.

Wind wasn't to bad this morning, sounds like it is picking up again now though. Per BBC we will get Southerly winds on Sunday and then back to Easterlies on Monday, on the plus side the temperature is forecast for 11c on Monday, downside is it is going to rain

Looks like a drop in wind for the weekend. I did 20 miles down to Cardiff Bay his afternoon. The weather was superb. Still a bit windy but sunny and a few degrees warmer. I even had to take off my winter base layer in Starbucks toilets before the return leg of the ride.

A bit of a change today. The cutting edge seems to have gone and a few degrees warmer, hopefully spring is around the corner.

If we had these easterlies in the summer it would have been bloody hot. Cant help think that the Atlantic is now waiting to do its stuff and give us loads of rain.
