There are shower facilities, but I don't use them. I shower when I get up, and if I take it nice and steady on the way in, I tend not to sweat too much, so can't be arsed with a shower - it takes too long. I'm with the 'cool down ten minutes, then off to the disabled loo with baby wipes/soap and flannel and a squirt of deodorant' brigade.

Do not underestimate the power of baby wipes! I work in a large office and no one has complained (yet).

Wouldn't have a problem using communal showers, though, and fail to understand the 'issues'.

i have very good shower facilities and with working shifts never have to share the changing room. I know i am lucky but having been in the forces a communal shower area wouldnt phase me at all.
i do remember a few years ago a towel cape being invented that you put on around the neck and it went to floor and you changed underneath it was quite fashionable at the time in swimming pools and on the beach

I have no problems at work, across the corridor from my office is the main toilets for our floor with 2 good showers. I have my locker in our open plan office, shower, dry off and then get dressed in the office. Never any complaints as most people do their sport at lunch time, so changing in the communal office is completely normal. In sep, I move into my own office, but it has glass on 2 walls, so not much extra privacy. Like others, changing with others is just so much part of life; sports teams, etc, that I do not even think about it as an issue.

We have separate male and female changing rooms with showers, albeit encrusted with mould. A god send after my commute. I don't mind changing infront of collegues. After cycling for 3 years I am no longer the bloater like some of them. Makes you feel good.

Recently discovered we DO have a shower, though on closer inspection i don't think I'll bother

By rule, we have to have a shower at work. We recently moved and the old facilities were awful. We now have a great shower cubicle with a power shower .

Opaque screens wouldn't bother me I think. I am lucky in that we have 4 showers with solid shin to ceiling doors anyway, but I see opaque as far more discrete than say, changing at a beach or whatever.

Just turn around if you are worried about showing blurry shapes on the doors. Or am I as a bloke, typically missing the point.

We have unisex showers with full length solid doors. There's enough space in each cubicle for shower and changing. There's also a shared area with hair-drier, mirrors. Never seen a girl in there yet, but here's hoping.

We have got a shower room for each sex, with communal changing area and glass door showers. It's pretty busy, but not all users are cyclists (some people commute casual, some runners and footballers). A handful of lockers, a few pegs for hanging stuff up. Showers are good, spacious and well lit. Room gets very humid as it has a low ceiling and no natural ventilation.

We have one very good shower, Not enough room to get changed in though. I get changed in the communal locker room. Anybody who is bothered by me getting changed stays out and so far none of the girls have complained about me wandering around in a towel!
